I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That sounds like a good call.

That sounds like a good choice, Hil. You might be there for years, right? It should be a place that you are happy with.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. And if it does turn out to be too expensive, then I can find a new apartment next year, when I won't have such a time crunch.

I'm hoping that Hil becomes famous for inventing a recipe for vegan Skyline chili that, ironically, also serves as the equation to solve an enduring mathematical problem. It will be called Minkowski 4-way chili and it will be the most Buffista food ever.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Will it include cilantro?

Hm. Toddson has moved us to Minkoski 5-way, which may actually present a challenge to general relativity.

I leave this in Hil's hands.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Will it include cilantro?

Or olives?

I am 1000% in favor of vegan Skyline (or vegetarian; as long as it doesn't contain the flesh of anything that once had a nervous system, I'm good), though I still hesitate to call it chili.

And yay nice apartment!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sounds like a good decision, Hil.

I have picked up the one Father's Day gift I needed to get, dropped off my computer ( but not in time to get it back today), an bought a new toilet seat. Now lunch and then more errands.

In sort-of Cincinnati news, for a while there my local Safeway was carrying Graeter's ice cream (am I spelling that right?). Limited selection - vanilla, vanilla with chocolate chips/chunks, chocolate, but still ...

and in other goodie news, there is an Oreo mint cream filled, chocolate fudge coated cookie - it's like the love child of a Peppermint Patty and a Thin Mint.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

We had a meeting this morning that ended with cake & ice cream in honor of May & June birthdays. But I've been feeling kind of off most of the morning, so my first piece of cake in honor of my birthday is still sitting on my desk mocking me, and I had to stash the ice cream in the freezer (carefully disguised - it's a drumstick, which would TOTALLY get stolen otherwise). I call do-overs on today.

Though I would be interested in an olive-and-cilantro-free vegetarian chili. So there's that to look forward to.
