Sheesh, askye, that is rotten. I hope genuine listings for something that works for you come up soon.
Teppy, whine away, dear one. I hope the migraine decides to not be painful.
'War Stories'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So, interview is the 25th. They want me to fly in the night before. This is not really an interview though; it's a fucking marathon. I got the schedule. I am meeting with a total of 10 people, starting at 9 am and finishing at 5 pm. Lunch is even a meeting. I get one 15 minute break. Some of the people I'm meeting with? CEO and the two owners of the company.
Commence freakout now. I will be relying on you all to keep me off the ledge.
(And Steph, if this is triggery for you, please let me know.)

No, I'm excited to hear about it! It helps me to get in the mindset that there are other, better jobs out there that are a good match for the people who have the skills and the passion to do them. And seeing my friends experience that is reminding me that I am not an unemployable talentless deadbeat hack. (I think my body image demons managed to transmogrify into Productive Adulthood demons.)
This sounds like a great opportunity for you, and I will be thrilled when you get to give notice at your current job, because they don't appreciate you or your skills.

You should let us know ahead of time when this will happen so we can do a champagne toast.

Yup. Been down this road before.
Maria, lots of ~ma headed your way. All day interviews are the norm in my world, and while they are a marathon you will also get a good opportunity to take a look at them and get your questions answered. My one piece of advice: comfortable shoes.
Teppy, I have confidence that you can do this. I have no idea what life will look like for you on the other side, but I love the fact that you - an accomplished, smart, savvy, witty professional - is going to get to make choices about what to do with her life. And I get to be a part of the watch and post.
Hello all!
I'm taking a break from trying to fix the crap other people have done. Like the woman who decided that all important information MUST be bold, italic, and underlined ... like the social-media-expert kid who used the default table set-up ... which automatically makes header row and label columns, which can't be edited ... and he inserted lots of EXTRA SPACE. I'm going to have to go in and hand-code this garbage to keep the links but delete the label column ... because it's for our magazine which is - surprise! - going to have new issues next year (and I refuse to have it out of order) ... and the person who did something arcane so that something shows up in view mode, but it's invisible in edit mode ... and, of course, I have to edit it.
I've done a lot of comfort eating, crying, and my stomach's in constant turmoil.
My dentist appointment this afternoon will be a PLEASURE ... I get to leave early!
Lots of job~ma to you Maria and Toddson and to you Teppy.
I had what was supposed to be my last appointment with my therapist but I'm seeing her next week for my totally for real last appointment. The place I go to is a community health center type thing so you have to live in one of two counties and if I move I won't be able to continue to see someone on a regular basis, but I can see my shrink during a transition.
I mean if I move out of town.
I haven't heard back from Best Buy but I'm trying not to think about all this too much.
I am at least getting boxes today and I have packing tape and I can have some control over something.
{{Todd}} I can't even imagine.
Job~ma all round.
You should let us know ahead of time when this will happen so we can do a champagne toast.
Makes note to get bottle to chill.

Sounds similar to my interview for current job. Hopefully there will be some meetings with multiple people. This is an excellent chance for you to meet EVERYONE and get a sense if you want to work with these people. It sounds like a crazy day, but I found it refreshing in the end. Not to say I wasn't mentally exhausted at the end of the day. Oh yes. Very tired. But I got just as good sense of them as they did of me. I think you will do great!!
