My house is currently a disaster and that is keeping me from having people over and spending time with them. I really need to work on that.
Me too.
'War Stories'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yeah. Good lord, yeah.
I've felt like I'm drowning in *stuff* everywhere I look. It gets me all panicky like.

Yes, this, but somehow it never stops me from buying more stuff.
I did not realize all of you lived in our apartment with Hec and Matilda and me (but at least it would explain why it's such an ungodly overcluttered mess).
Katefate!!!!!!! I am so happy to read this news.
I confess to being kind of a neatnick at the moment, but this is a way of being that changes from time to time. My mother and sisters are anything but and I love them in all their clutterdom. Believe me when I say that I would be completely comfortable in the clutterest of all clutterly habitats if my friends are there. So if I say I am going to show up on your doorstep at any time, not to worry.
Katefate! That is excellent news!
The interior of my house is in decent shape in terms of cleanliness, but there are so many little repairs I need to do, and so much work on the outside of the house... I've been putting this off for years. No more. This will be the year.
Congrats katefate!!!
My house is, well it's awlays bad. One of the HDMI ports on my tv is bad and I can get it fixed, but it means having someone come to the house.
Someone I work with. So there is no way it's getting fixed until the house is clean. Or at least the living room and kitchen, I can close the doors on the other parts.
I've found the UFYH website list of how to emergency clean your house as fast as possible to be extremely helpful. UFYH overall is a good resource for those of us who can't deal with the Flylady approach.
I've been fretting over my cluttered living space for literally years. This is a waste of precious energy, and it has to stop. I have to stop spinning my mental wheels in an endless shame-anxiety spiral and get it to a state I can live with and maintain. The anxiety itself is the barrier to ending the thing that causes the anxiety.
My closets and shelves are pretty clean, since I can't stop watching "Hoarders", but I wish I didn't live like...a subordinate clause.
