I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ok, personal lady type question for the Bitches--advice from those of you who use a monthly cup?

I thought it sounded interesting but just wasn't sure and they seemed expensive. But then I saw some at the drugstore for like $7 so figured what the heck. It was easy enough and fine to use, but getting the darn thing OUT has been horribly uncomfortable and messy. Has anyone tried the "softcup" (which is not soft)? Especially if you can compare/recommend others? I like the idea but can't see doing this on the regular, especially if I'm not at home.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So, I seem to have another date with OK Cupid guy. Dinner at a Thai restaurant and a free showing of "Psycho" at the local artsy movie theater. (The theater is right by campus, and a film history class made some kind of deal with them to use the theater for the weekly film screenings required for everyone taking the class, and the screenings are open to the public for free.)

Have fun, Hil!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Go, Hil!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sounds promising, Hil

Our wings are not tired.

Have fun, Hil!

I have a date day with DH tomorrow. We are going to the Dolphins game with a friend. Tailgating starts around 10am, then I think the game is maybe at 1pm. 50 yard line seats.

I'm bringing spinach/artichoke dip and vegetarian chili to scarf down on tortilla chips. Also rum spiked lemon/limeade. Cookies too. The boys are eating various meaty stuff.

Both of my sons were given the option of going with dad, but one is hunting and the other is going to a BBQ with friends, so football for me and my sweety.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Nice, Hil!

meara, I use a Diva cup, and, yeah, it's more than a little of a mess and feels weird, though not exactly uncomfortable, so I pretty much only empty it at home (or in a home-like bathroom like a hotel room). I have not had any trouble with that, as far as...having waited too long. Does that help?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My parents are visiting. I am drunk. These two things are connected. OY.

meara, I use a Diva cup as well. It took a little getting used to but I hate hate HATE using tampons now. Empty morning and night and don't think about it otherwise. At times I've had leakage issues and used cloth pads as liners but mostly it's not a problem. Since I only deal with it twice a day it's at home or in a private bathroom like a hotel. YMMV. There used to be a community on lj with all kinds of info and comparisons but I don't know if it still exists.

Thanks y'all. I may look into getting one, but I figure it's good to know this is an option. I think I figured out part of what I was doing wrong, but them had different issues today and gave up for the moment. I think my big concern/issue is the price--the others are more expensive, so it's hard to take a chance in case I don't like one.
