Pix, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Steph I'm fashion imparied too so I don't have any advice to give.
Today was brutal at work, we had to do a training that was useful. But it ran from 9-11, or it was supposed to. The store opened at 11, the training started late. It ended when they opend the doors - so almost everyone in Home Theater and Computers was scrambling to get to our departments and it was one of those days when everyone just streams in.
It got better. It got better by these two amazing women who came in and cracked me up, they were ready to kidnap me off for lunch by the end of the transaction. One of the was a Justice of the Peace and said she had spent X number of years doing for others, so she had a business she was getting going and she was going to do something nice for herself. Nice translated to the top line Macbook Pro. Her friend ended up getting an iMac and there was some bickering (friendly) of "you're supposed to support me! Not buy for yourself!" And they both kept saying Fuck "I had this fucking Dell, damn, I need to watch my language. That thing is horrible, I got it for free and I'm going to throw it out of hte fucking - " Clasps her hands over her mouth - "Shit! I'm not supposed to say that. " and her friend was like "This is why we got kicked out of the Senior Center."
Apparently they got too enthuastic and profane with their trash talking during Mah jong and were asked not to come back.
When Iw as ringing them up they kept saying "Come to lunch iwht us!" I told them I couldn't, so thye were going to tell my supervisor they wouldn't buy anything unless they got to have lunch with me. But the transactions were done so it was like "Fire her so she can spend the rest of the day with us and then hire her back."
It was just what I needed during the day that was long and tiring but that is why I like working on the sales floor. You get this great connection with customers. Sometimes they are jerks but a lot of them are really nice.
The woman who was the Justice of the Peace, I have to talk to Will. I need to tell him, if we get married in Vermont she's a contender for performing the ceremony.
