I'm sorry for your loss and how you learned of it, sj.
I'm sorry about the pain, Ginger. I hope they can do something for you soon.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm going to see if they can offer me stronger pain medication or perhaps a medically induced coma. I have pretty decent pain tolerance, but this is like the worst fever-induced bone and joint aches multiplied by a hundred.
Oh, that sucks, but yes, they ought to offer you any drugs you want, damnit!
I had a lunch date with this girl I met at pride a couple weeks ago. She was kinda flaky (and lives 90 minutes away and her weekend is Sun/Mon) but is very cute. We had a good time chatting on the patio, and she said she wanted to get together again...but then when we went to leave, there ended up being a huge, and I awkwardly kissed her on the cheek, and yeah. Ugh. This is why lunch dates are weird. It's so awkward in broad daylight! Sigh. Between the schedule/location issues and the fact that I think she's kind of a player, I'm not sure this is a good thing, but she's CUTE, and fun to talk to, and seems to like me...ugh.
One Word Girl responded with more than one word! Seems she's been sleeping all day today as well. I asked if she wanted to get a cup of tea tonight, or tomorrow after work. She replied her week is super slammed. :: shrugs :: Not sure if it's a blow off, hard to get, or, just what she says.
Ginger, that completely sucks. I hope you get some meds that can do something.
I am a little drunk. We had three episodes of True Blood to catch up on tonight, and it required a lot of alcohol.
I think she's kind of a player
meara, even from way over here, I can tell this is one of your dating issues, women with too many pots on the stove. Er, sorry about the awkward metaphor (I was going to say "finger in too many pots" because that's the phrase I was taught, but that really seemed to be pushing the line on inappropriate.)

Hahahahah! But funny.
And yeah--I think part of the issue is I'm attracted to confident outgoing type people. And sometimes they are truly fun, confident people. And sometimes they are assholes. :)
I wonder if it's just the effect of the weekend. Too much time to think. A heavy load of "why the hell bother" on me tonight.
Confident and outgoing is good, but you can be confident and outgoing AND willing to commit. I say hold out for someone like that.
I'm sorry it's a hard night, Connie.
