Arthur interim-update: Test results are starting to come in, ruling out some of the worst possible results (like feline leukemia). They haven't ruled out an infection, which would be the least bad result because we can treat it with a few days in the hospital, flooding his system with fluids, and keeping him on antibiotics for a long time.
He actually cooperated well with the sub-Q fluids last nigh, except for the moment that the needle went in. But we were able to restrain him and re-insert the needle. And when the fluids were done, Hubs already had a hold on him so we could give him his Pepcid without too much trouble.
I want to hope. I can't quite do it yet, though.
That sounds encouraging, Fred. continued ~ma
My Gray Cat is in the hospital, awaiting surgery tomorrow. He got in a fight and
got part of the inner membrane of one eye torn almost out.
(Spoiler font because it's a bit gross.) But he will be okay. The doctor reassured me that it was not as bad as it looked. And I feel like a superhero for wrestling him in the box with only minor injuries.
Hi there, DJ! Cute kid you got there. I see she takes up most of your time, doesn't she?
Yikes, Zen! Get well, kitty.
Hey Daisy!
The Oatmeal's take on their new favorite animal: the mantis shrimp.
It is like they are now just specifically trying to make my life better. I wonder if he knows of naked mole rats?
Hi people! I was talking about y'all yesterday and decided I needed to visit.
Yes, kiddo takes up a lot of my time. In fact, right now I have to stop her from eating cat food. Excuse me. And thanks! She is cute as hell! Catfood on her face notwithstanding.
