My Gray Cat is in the hospital, awaiting surgery tomorrow. He got in a fight and got part of the inner membrane of one eye torn almost out. (Spoiler font because it's a bit gross.) But he will be okay. The doctor reassured me that it was not as bad as it looked. And I feel like a superhero for wrestling him in the box with only minor injuries.

Just tonight I watched a special on animals in Indonesian waters. The mantis shrimp made a stabby appearance of death. They also sent a camera down a mantis shrimp burrow - they're surprisingly long, up to a couple of metres at least.
