ION, If anybody's been looking for a reason to visit San Diego, the pics of this hotel are making me look for a reason to pony up and spend a weekend 20 miles from home.
And, it says it's within walking distance of the San Diego Zoo.

Didn't mean to kick off a discussion and disappear, just... busy busy busy OMG. Thanks to everyone who contributed - it is a really tricky thing to navigate and I appreciate all the viewpoints and data points. I opted to just ask him whether he thought this might be a temporary thing while he recovers, or whether he feels kind of done with committed relationships, while adding the caveat that it was okay if he didn't know. I also offered that we could shift the discussion to facebook, allowing us to get to know each other in a wider context (he used to work with KR and she thinks he's awesome, which is why I'm willing to do that). I gave a general context of my previous non-relationships and even admitted at the end that I am now worried that I seem desperate and psycho. So... we'll see how he responds to that.
