Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, Sean, I'm hoping so hard that you get this or something similarly awesome.
Fred, much kitty~ma. Arthur! Be a good kitty and cooperate!
Didn't mean to kick off a discussion and disappear, just... busy busy busy OMG. Thanks to everyone who contributed - it is a really tricky thing to navigate and I appreciate all the viewpoints and data points. I opted to just ask him whether he thought this might be a temporary thing while he recovers, or whether he feels kind of done with committed relationships, while adding the caveat that it was okay if he didn't know. I also offered that we could shift the discussion to facebook, allowing us to get to know each other in a wider context (he used to work with KR and she thinks he's awesome, which is why I'm willing to do that). I gave a general context of my previous non-relationships and even admitted at the end that I am now worried that I seem desperate and psycho. So... we'll see how he responds to that.
Cards, table. His move.
Much ~ma to you and your kitty, Fred.

Arthur interim-update: Test results are starting to come in, ruling out some of the worst possible results (like feline leukemia). They haven't ruled out an infection, which would be the least bad result because we can treat it with a few days in the hospital, flooding his system with fluids, and keeping him on antibiotics for a long time.
He actually cooperated well with the sub-Q fluids last nigh, except for the moment that the needle went in. But we were able to restrain him and re-insert the needle. And when the fluids were done, Hubs already had a hold on him so we could give him his Pepcid without too much trouble.
I want to hope. I can't quite do it yet, though.
best to arthur
That sounds encouraging, Fred. continued ~ma
My Gray Cat is in the hospital, awaiting surgery tomorrow. He got in a fight and got part of the inner membrane of one eye torn almost out. (Spoiler font because it's a bit gross.) But he will be okay. The doctor reassured me that it was not as bad as it looked. And I feel like a superhero for wrestling him in the box with only minor injuries.
Psst…hi.
