Ginger, I'm sorry to hear both about the cancer and fucked up insurance. I hope that can be fixed.Connie sorry about the fucked up miscommunication. Hope that is fixed soon. Sean sorry about the fucked up ex roomate. He has not excuse. I'm now wonder if the asshole currently staying chews with his mouth open deliberately to be annoying. And is how escalating cause he could not get a response.
'Beneath You'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ginger I hope something can be worked out.
Sean, I'm really sorry you've been stuck with two shitty roommates. If your roommate didn't like the movie that you were watching he should have gone to his room. Seriously he's a short term roommate, it's your place, if he doesn't like it he needs to remove himself. I think I'd be a little tempted to say "I don't mean to be an asshole, but I'm really glad you are leaving" when he finally left. Although that's kind of petty but sometimes I'm petty.
I had a store meeting today, learned some new stuff about the changes. Also was named MCSA employee of the quarter (which is really for the last 5 months), we're being pushed into sales so I thought there would just be sales support and sales but they are still doing things by the division/departments. I don't know if they'll keep doing that since there's only 4 people and the part time people are very part time.
Congrats on Employee of the Quarter+ !! That was quick. Didn't you just start the job around Thanksgiving?
I started in late July/earl August.
I got employee for the quarter at the last quarterly meeting we had. I kind of had it my head I wanted to be named at the next (meaning this meeting) and I got it. Some of the recent changes I think kinda suck, especially in terms of people who lost their jobs in the re-org. But overall I like working there and I'm trying to figure out a way I can move up officially or unofficially by finding ways I can learn stuff/cross train.
Sean: it's not you (tho if you find yourself 4 or 5 disaster roomates down the road, you may want to start looking into more in-depth screening procedures). Roomates don't have to be friends, but everyone does need to be able to live up to basic elements of social contract (paying rent and utilities being clause #1.) Sadly, there are an awful lot of people out there who aren't up to the task of being a responsible human being...and those people tend to find themselves frequently looking for a new place to live, and thus being more densely present in the potential-roomate pool than folks looking to share their living space would like. I keep knocking on wood that I can afford to live alone. Finding someone suitable for home-sharing is really, really challenging.
I am glad it's going so well for you at work, askye.

That is a brilliant observation.
The car that they sold was a 2008 with full touring package, around 56,xxx miles, for $12,xxx. The one they do have is a 2007 with full touring package, 33,xxx miles, but listed at $17, 988.
That does seem like a rather large jump, for a year older car, even with fewer miles. Is it like, "Toyota Certified" or something that the other one wasn't?

Apparently, it can't be more than a few years old to be "Toyota Certified", and 07 & 08 is too old. Nope, they are jacking the cost because of the low miles. Although the internet gal did let loose one piece of information, that indicated they initially price high, to see if anyone is stupid enough to pay it, and then they lower the price. The previous car was originally priced high as well, and then advertised as dropping in price a few thousand. Ah, the game of car dealerships. It's a dance. But it looks like you can get a price on par with Edmunds "actual value", where as Carmax and AutoNation, with the "no haggle" pricing, seems to have higher prices, with no hope of getting them lowered.

Ugh. I bought mine (lo these many years ago) at CarMax, because I hated the idea of haggling. But there aren't any out here, so...who knows. Though Costco apparently has new car prices that it has arranged for members, but I doubt they do used cars.
