Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

psst, Jesse is channeling Matthew McConaughey

That may actually be true.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

TAKE OFF YER SHIRT.

I had a (real) nerd on IO9 tell me that female fake nerdery was uber-offensive because there's a history of systematic oppression of male nerds by attractive women.

I have asked him what me lying about liking Mass Effect 4 (I know) has to do with his penis.

Still waiting...

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

there's a history of systematic oppression of male nerds by attractive women

I see the words, but they make NO SENSE.

information libertarian

But it is so obvious: by not dating male nerds, attractive females are SYSTEMATICALLY OPPRESSING THEM!

HISTORY

SYSTEMATIC

Don't you understand? Me saying I'm a fan but not seeing The Hobbit until the second week (trufax cited "fake geek" scenario, movie may vary) is PROBLEMATIC.

That is my answer to "Why is the fake geek female, attractive, slim, and well spoken, and the real geek is male, less conventionally attractive, heavy set, and stutters?" BECAUSE OPPRESSION.

Oh, okay.

Me, I'm holding out for the next wave of issues, which will be when women are real geeks, but fake male geeks that look like Matt Bomer will fake knowledge of the Silmarillion to just use us sexually.

This is the inevitable next step, right? RIGHT.

I'm going to have to assume that either this [link] is misreported or just plain false.

Because I have to.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I grow cells to study why they move the way they do. I also buy things to use in studies.

(Most words I'd use to describe what I do are not on the list)

Compassionately intolerant

I help many a dog deal with their people problem.

'dogs' and 'problems' did not make it to the list.

Why are plurals less popular, I wonder?

That's the point of the exercise, though. It doesn't work if you don't do it.

Why are plurals less popular, I wonder?

It's easiest if you just use the site--it allows plurals. Just type your stuff into the text box, and edit until you don't have errors.
