Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I am in the hallway of D's school waiting for my turn at the parent-teacher conference. I think I'm the only one here who showed up without my kids. This is WAY too many five year-olds in one place at this time of night.

It is a week to Turkey Day and we have no plans. I know what I want to do but K-Bug is being a total waffle. If I felt better, I'd commit to all the cooking myself. I should be better by then but I'd like to have backup.

Trader Joes has a frozen turkey dinner for two (turkey and stuffing) 12.99. Well actually for four, but I'm assuming with tday gluttony for two. Don't know how good this will be I'm going to do this, make cranberry sauce and sweet potato and maybe buy a small pumpkin pie. TJs there is a good chance it will be decent.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

So I just went to sit down on the bus, and my knee made a horrible popping noise and it felt like a muscle or tendon actually moved over or under my kneecap, and for about three minutes it was all I could do not to scream or throw up. Now it hurts less, and I am hoping to be able to walk to change buses, but both my knee and my ankle kill. WtTF was that and what should I do?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How does one make oatmeal (no prize for that segue) in the microwave without everything going splodey?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sophia,

I think you should ice it as soon as you get home. that's all I got.

Put oatmeal in bowl. Use microwave to boil water in cup. pour boiling water onto oatmeal. Stir well. cool bowl 30 seconds at a time until done, stirring each time. Not a huge labor saver over stovetop except: 1) and water not added to oatmeal is pour off immeadiately. Rest evaporates from cup. 2) When done with bowl it can be put in dishwasher.

Thus, no saving in cooking labor, but some saving in cleaning labor.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

WRT Thanksgiving, my mom has decreed that she cannot stand turkey, and isn't all that fond of the usual trimmings, either. We are therefore having homemade Thai curry. Possibly shrimp curry at that.

I am not complaining.

I put a saucer on top of everything I heat in a bowl in the microwave.

Also, heat for 45 seconds, stir, heat for 45 seconds, stir.
