I'm confused -- the optician was in an episode of Buffy, but now he does what for the other shows? Has parts, or make contacts?
It's very cool! I'm just not following completely.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Be really, really glad he wasn’t the optician on Farscape.
Home again, home again. We hit up Buffalo Wild Wings after the laundromat and I had a shot of whiskey. The day got a little better. Came home and the pest report was no live bugs and one dead carcass. We have put the livingroom back together and will work on the rest bit by bit. Soft goods are staying the the garage for the most part.
We are getting way too efficient at the laundromat. I'm doing my taxes this weekend and will hopefully be able to get our own set within a month. I hope.
My bed is made with freshly laundered stuff. So looking forward to crawling in.
Oh, the cats were pretty freaked when we first let them out. I actually couldn't find Noodle when I opened the door. She was hiding between the shower curtain and liner. After some hard core snuggling they seem to be doing ok. No pitiful meowing. Poor punkins.

He doesn't get to touch these baby browns.
He had three Emmys--Buffy, Babylon 5, and I don't remember the third.
Amy, he was the optician first, and I guess he was on good terms with them, because they offered him an extra part, which turned out a little bigger than he'd expected. But, he clearly was a fan, because he remembered Willy's name, as well as Buffy and Xander, and came out and showed me the polaroids of him vamped up after I said something.
Because you know I said something.
And he seemed to recognise Tim's name.
That's great, Suzi!
Hey, ita, did you see my post about topiramate and visual stuff?
ABQ job is still a possibility, but now comes more waiting. I hate waiting.
Cold enough that I plugged in my kitchen stand-alone heater cause that room was getting ridiculous. Apparently, on the same circuit as the mircro, internet, phone and tv. I don't even know. Someday, I'll have someone competent rewire this place. And put in more grounded plugs.
I hate waiting.
Me too.
I talked to my boss today and he said there's one veteran still in the pool with me. And then he asked if I had a Plan B, which is not encouraging.
Perhaps tomorrow I'll spend some time buffing up my resume.
What's increasingly annoying is that I'm traveling next week to do some partnership-building with agencies & non-profits up in Washington. If I end up leaving, the whole effort will just collapse because it's all on me, and it will take my replacement a solid year to get familiar with the program.
Fuck, I've gotten myself depressed and anxious about this again.

There's an irony I'm not going to touch, but clearly I didn't re-assemble my browser crash post in as good detail as I thought. Thanks for the information that I'm not permanently jacking up my eyesight--I'll have do decide what a workable balance is.
Gnargh. I'm going on a major price/taste/ingredient comparison binge, and it's quite depressing. Also, I need to remember to do it with smaller units. That vat of cheap yoghurt with twice as much sugar as the more expensive kind? Actually a waste of money. Pfft. And that Straus stuff fucking tasty. ::sigh::
