Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The last thing that made me smile was the (late, I know) discovery that Benedict Cumberpatch is playing TWO characters in The Hobbit instead of just the one I knew about.

Now I'm smiling even more.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Seeing a hummingbird at my window feeder this morning. The feeder is close to the window and clear, so sometimes I can see hummingbird tongue lapping up nectar.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ryan was sick today. Spent much of the afternoon vomiting. Tonight, after he started running a fever, we gave him some paracetamol, which he was able to keep down. Anyway, the thing that made me smile was when he then asked if we might also have some hiccup medicine. He's now sacked out on his kiddie-sized fold-out sofa. IT IS ADORABLE.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Jessica, I didn't know there were two! Huh. I'm not a big Bandersnatch fan, but that's news I would have expected to hear through the fannish grapevine.

Poor little Ryan, I hope he feels better soon.

What is the last thing that made you smile unexpectedly?

Erm. I got invited to a New Year's Party. Oh, and my GSD tried to climb into bed with me last night.

Woops, no--the last thing that made me smile unexpectedly was this set of photos: [link]

How lovely is that?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

IT IS ADORABLE.

I don't believe that for a second.

I just cracked myself up using my predecessor's DRAFT stamp. I realize it's not that funny.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I feel better now after having looked at those pictures, and the wall we were banging our heads on in this project has been resolved.

But mostly my head hurts and I really really want to cry. I'm grateful my plans have me going to the ER tomorrow morning instead of Sunday, but this day at the office will be long even if I don't do my normal here-until-seven thing.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Suela, I think most of the fannish grapevine regarding Crash Bandicoot comes from Tumblr. Are you active there?

Are you active there?

No, I am not. Which explains my ignorance. Tumblr, like FB, is blocked at my workplace, and I don't have time at home to fully explore a new ecosystem. So I have bookmarked a few Tumblrs (Coach Taylor Encourages Your Academics, Fannish Flamingo, Women Warriors), and I follow links once in a while, but that's it.
