I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Many happy returns, amych!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Happy birthday, amych!

Also, 'suela, your job... sigh. So aggravating, I'm sure.

About when do you think I won't be startled by Leslie Hope? It's been forever and I'm still side-eying her image...

ita, whenever I see her at yoga I have to do a double/quadruple take. When her hair was long it was extra weird.

I have hemmed 4 pairs of pants and I still have one pair to go. None of these pants are mine. I feel like hemming other people's pants is an act of love. Doing it while trying to feed one twin dinner and finish his homework which requires that I stop, read a story, create a storyboard and then encourage him to draw is like a superhuman act.

In other news, I'm sucking at my buffista secret santa (am waiting for payday), but I have wrapped at least a few gifts each day. It's pretty enjoyable to go slow and not been all HULK SMASH WRAP GIFT!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think her hair is long again now, judging by...how have I blocked the show already? What cracked me up was that for years after the breakup every thing I saw her in, she was the bad guy. It was a bit fun. However I do need to learn how to let go of things that didn't actually happen to me.

Okay--when was the last time anyone here was at a bachelor/single lady auction? What am I doing either right or wrong to have never seen one?

Also, how do I get Jessica Alba off my screen?

And....I know my sister is going to yell at me for not spoiling her for what she's watching. I might normally be an okay sister, but I'm an annoying TV co-watcher-even worse with relatives.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I don't even hem my own pants, so if I'm hemming someone else's pants we're definitely talking love.

My son today. He was either acting up or climbing in my lap asking for hugs. I preferred the second.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was at one in high school! It was not super glamorous like on the tv, although it was fun.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

never been to one, I think of them as things that only happen on soap operas.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I've seen the one in Groundhog Day about... let's see, seen the movie probably thirty times, with what, three or four iterations per viewing? But outside of that, I got nothin'. Never even heard of one happening in real life.

I had to stop and think a second about whether it had ever happened at Faire, but, no. With that particular group of awesomely strange people, the potential for a bachelor auction going severely Wrong is just too great.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I've only seen Bachelor Auctions in fanfic. Then again, I haven't been to a lot of auctions period. The only one that comes to mind in the past 10 years or so would be the silent auction to benefit a local rape crisis center, and I can't imagine a bachelor auction being appropriate for that.
