Speaking of my father... It seems some ducks had a nest hidden near my parents house and the mama duck chose last weekend to march all the babies to the nearby lake. They had to cross a fairly busy street to get there so my dad went out and stopped traffic for them. How cute is that?

I have made two discoveries already today
First, even though I think it's really funny when Charlie decides he needs to lick Bubba's ears, it is less funny when he does it to me.
Also, I am tears running down my face levels of allergic to whatever kind of lilies they are selling at Costco right now.
I don't want to gloat, but by the online weather thing, it's sunny and 61F right now, 70% humidity, "feels like" 61, expected high 76F, and 57F overnight. The drop from 86 is welcome.
My weekend consists of cheering on the neighbors' gardening efforts, and trying to meet a writing deadline. Maybe some deadheading in my container garden, watering for sure.

I *loved* the video. The first minute or so, I said out loud "what the fuck is THIS?" and I became really intrigued. I was thinking that if George Lucas hadn't lost his soul, this is the kind of thing I thought could have been in Star Wars.

I'm so glad you liked it! I could totally see it in a sci-fi context. Cirque de Soleil has expressed interest in one of their earlier projects, and I think this project would be even better for them.
