I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Make way for ducklings!

Because books.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

FWIW, they do sell doggy (bitchy?) diapers just for that problem

Yeah, and some dogs (like the Diva) tear them right off.

Ok, I have screwed around on the internet for too long. Time to be productive.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I remember productivity! It's the opposite of pretty much what I do these days!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have made two discoveries already today

First, even though I think it's really funny when Charlie decides he needs to lick Bubba's ears, it is less funny when he does it to me.

Also, I am tears running down my face levels of allergic to whatever kind of lilies they are selling at Costco right now.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I don't want to gloat, but by the online weather thing, it's sunny and 61F right now, 70% humidity, "feels like" 61, expected high 76F, and 57F overnight. The drop from 86 is welcome.

My weekend consists of cheering on the neighbors' gardening efforts, and trying to meet a writing deadline. Maybe some deadheading in my container garden, watering for sure.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Ouise,

I *loved* the video. The first minute or so, I said out loud "what the fuck is THIS?" and I became really intrigued. I was thinking that if George Lucas hadn't lost his soul, this is the kind of thing I thought could have been in Star Wars.

Really interesting and creative.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I'm so glad you liked it! I could totally see it in a sci-fi context. Cirque de Soleil has expressed interest in one of their earlier projects, and I think this project would be even better for them.

A friend of my mother can never remember what 'Music Technology" is and keeps thinking that my brother is getting a PhD in being a roadie.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to the Museum of Natural History with my folks today. Saw the (relatively) new exhibit on the genome(sponsored by a bunch of company I've ordered stuff for the lab from), had lunch and looked at the nature photography exhibit. Some really gorgeous shots there.

Last night we met Gary's dad and step-mom for dinner, and tomorrow we have dinner plans with his mom and her boyfriend. A typical visit from my parents, basically.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Remember how I used to post less-than-flattering pictures of myself to entertain Rio? (Possibly you don't. Well, I did, way back in the WorldCrossing days.) In that vein, here I am, trying to keep a migraine from taking hold: [link] What a sad critter I am.
