Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I was going to recommend Penzey's as well. I am currently overly attached to their Mural of Flavor seasoning mix. There's one in Santa Monica.

I have graded 9 papers so far today. Props to DH and the kids for helping to make that happen.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

A four year old boy doesn't give a shit about ribbons on a wrapped present, right?

Nope.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's what I figured. I am now done with my work secret Santa thing! Just need to bring it in tomorrow.

I really don't think I've ever been this on top of Christmas.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm eagerly awaiting JZ and Matilda to get home so I can throw this pizza in the oven.

I did it using TJ's pizza dough (so cheap! $1.29) and fresh mozza, and I brushed the crust with olive and minced garlic and basil.

It looks all pretty and it was fun tugging out the dough.

Get home, family! I want to eat my fancy pants pizza.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I once made four hot pockets out of that dough and have them in the freezer, and they are delicious! The end.

Yum! What was the filling?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did outside decorating. I did not finish, but I did a chunk. Then I finished TWO projects: putting curtain rings on the front room curtains (they were hanging by loops on the back of the panels, but did not slide smoothly on the rod) and spray painting a small table top bookshelf.

Now to package up the books that sold and maybe list a couple things on ebay.

What was the filling?

Some delicious tomato sauce I made by roasting everything and blending it, mozzarella, pepperoni.

Mmmmmm.

My pizza is in the oven. Five more minutes. C'mon crust! Crisp up!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had an early dinner with my folks at their new place. It felt uncomfortably like high school going into the dining room, because 2/3 of the seats have nametags and my folks have clearly not been sharing a table with anyone. They eat alone at a small table in the corner, which makes me sad. How will they meet people if they don't make an effort?

I think I have met more of their neighbors than they have!

Mom was ... a little better, maybe. Less frantic, still irrational, but somewhat willing to be redirected. At one point said she was willing to stay for two months and then immediately switched to one month and then said she wanted to move immediately. Sigh.

This is going to be a long thing. Bah.

And my wine is old and oxidized. I may have to break out the Glenlivet.
