Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I once made four hot pockets out of that dough and have them in the freezer, and they are delicious! The end.

Yum! What was the filling?

I did outside decorating. I did not finish, but I did a chunk. Then I finished TWO projects: putting curtain rings on the front room curtains (they were hanging by loops on the back of the panels, but did not slide smoothly on the rod) and spray painting a small table top bookshelf.

Now to package up the books that sold and maybe list a couple things on ebay.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What was the filling?

Some delicious tomato sauce I made by roasting everything and blending it, mozzarella, pepperoni.

Mmmmmm.

My pizza is in the oven. Five more minutes. C'mon crust! Crisp up!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had an early dinner with my folks at their new place. It felt uncomfortably like high school going into the dining room, because 2/3 of the seats have nametags and my folks have clearly not been sharing a table with anyone. They eat alone at a small table in the corner, which makes me sad. How will they meet people if they don't make an effort?

I think I have met more of their neighbors than they have!

Mom was ... a little better, maybe. Less frantic, still irrational, but somewhat willing to be redirected. At one point said she was willing to stay for two months and then immediately switched to one month and then said she wanted to move immediately. Sigh.

This is going to be a long thing. Bah.

And my wine is old and oxidized. I may have to break out the Glenlivet.

Do it! It's past time.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My skating coach has retired--it happened while I was away. He had talked about doing it someday, but I had no idea he meant NOW. I didn't get to say goodbye, although I have his email so I can write him. I am bummed--there are other coaches at the rink, but he was my coach ever since I started, so it'll take getting used to a new person.

That's what I figured.

Mostly I just try to make sure the presents aren't too difficult to open.

Bob Costas just made an anti-handgun commentary on the outro of the halftime report on an NFL broadcast. Wow.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a spice grinder like this one that I use mostly for cloves and cumin. I used to have an electric blade coffee grinder but the motor died and I replaced it with the manual one.
