And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

do you know what the term "burner phone" means

The Wire, baby. And, CBS Mysteries. And CSI. And The Closer. And Court TV.

You get the idea.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I call the evening one dinner, and the Sunday one supper

Always Anti-fascist!

Wirefiends, represent. I actually had a burner for a while, but I couldn't even use it cause its number got collection calls from some chick named Carmen.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it's non-contract and pay as I go

All cash?

Burner phone seems reasonably pop culture education, along with the start of the Miranda rights, cops have to say "yes" if you ask if they're undercover (sic), sort of social studies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You buy a burner phone at the convenience store, not the phone store.

How do normal people cook/eat dinner?

I don't know about normal people, but I have to do stuff in bulk ahead of time, or I just eat popcorn. I have several days' worth of salad in my fridge right now! And yet, am going out for dinner.

I am staring low glycemic load failure in the face if I don't make some new habits quick stick. I found some menu plans that are helpful, but there's a lot of stress on weight loss--I don't need instructions like hot water and lemon.

Also, do I have to lower the fat content in my yoghurt? Surely just switching from vanilla to plain is the key change? Also--agave--low glycemic enough? Does the fructose thing make it too problematic? I don't need a lot of sweet, but I do want some.

I really need to work out the difference between low and lower. How much whole is good enough? Can I get low load granola? Gnargh. And no, I don't want to start seeing a nutritionist. That would make, what, five specialists? Too much.

No suggestions for a metaphor that's less linear?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why do you have to be low glycemic?

And what's your metaphor question again? You're looking for a continuum that's not a line? I dunno.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I am so tired of thunderstorms and grey skies. True, it's been a little cooler than usual for this time of year(not very much, though), but I'm feeling kind of down, and the lack of sun may be a factor.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Also, do I have to lower the fat content in my yoghurt

I would think the opposite.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I usually cook up a vat of something on the weekends, soup or curry or stir fry, something that's easy to reheat. I eat a snack before I leave work, usually almonds or sunflower seeds, just to keep myself from cutting someone. By the time I get home after running errands and exercising, it depends on how I'm feeling. If I'm starving, I eat leftovers. If I'm not, I'll make a salad or roast some vegetables or braise some greens. I keep certain ingredients handy like eggs and cooked lentils and cheese and marinara so that I can quickly build a salad or an omelette or a small pizza.
