Yeah, the people defending her seem to forget that she's not actually in trouble for using a racial slur in a private conversation. I mean, that's what she's in trouble for in Facebook, but what she's being sued for is violating anti-discrimination laws and mistreating her employees.
(I just had to walk away from a FB argument with someone who was very upset that Deen is being censored like this. Last time I checked, the Food Network was not a branch of government, but I'm waiting to be corrected on that.)

This person was saying that her being fired was a form of censorship. Because I guess now the only outlets she has to be racist on are EVERYWHERE EXCEPT THE FOOD NETWORK.

My favorite (SPOILER: that was sarcasm) comments are the ones where she was raised in a racist time period, so it's okay. Guess what? We're living in a racist time period NOW. Still not okay!
