"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Holy shit, I saw a seal in SF Bay from the train. Coooool.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Holy shit, I saw a seal in SF Bay from the train. Coooool.

I'm going to take a bold stance and declare that seals are better than racism.

Reasons to not really like new boss: We got a medical statement in the mail, to our address, but to a person. Not anyone who works here, clearly an address mix-up. I ask him and the other workers if they know the name, thinking it may be someone's spouse or something. He says to take it back to PO as wrong address, or trash it. Really? Trash it? I called the medical office and gave them the name so that they could call the patient and get her correct mailing info. Then I shredded the mail, BECAUSE I TAKE HIPPA SERIOUSLY!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I'm going to take a bold stance and declare that seals are better than racism.

Although, frankly, I am even less prepared to deal with seals at Thanksgiving dinner. We don't even have oysters in our dressing.

meanwhile, people in Deen's restaurants were working in a hostile work environment. for years.

Yeah, the people defending her seem to forget that she's not actually in trouble for using a racial slur in a private conversation. I mean, that's what she's in trouble for in Facebook, but what she's being sued for is violating anti-discrimination laws and mistreating her employees.

(I just had to walk away from a FB argument with someone who was very upset that Deen is being censored like this. Last time I checked, the Food Network was not a branch of government, but I'm waiting to be corrected on that.)

Right? I'd be fired for using slurs. Also? people saying she's a racist d-bag is not censoring her, IT IS BEING DECENT. omg.

And Rice was actually saying that a white person could not be offended by use of the slur? really? I boggle.

This person was saying that her being fired was a form of censorship. Because I guess now the only outlets she has to be racist on are EVERYWHERE EXCEPT THE FOOD NETWORK.

Seriously, I love living in the future.

And I grabbed a bunch of movies and vids and threw them onto my Google Drive last night so I can watch them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Which way are you going, Hec? I'll wave when I hear the whistle if you're Sacramento-ward.
