For this third day of the reinvigorated squat challenge, I am taking Zenkitty's advice to use a couch as a 'touch point.' I can say that it has improved my form dramatically.
My legs really are parallel to the floor.
I tried not swinging my arms out in front of me. NO GO.
This means my legs are feeling it WAY more. I guess it also means I was not making the most of my squats last month.
Thanks for the reset, Zen!
Lee had the Extreme Monday experience, I see. I say add bourbon.
Lee, sorry to hear about the anticipated stress at work. Am I to understand by items 2-4 that you are getting stiffed for someone else's use of fasttrak in your previous car? Grrr, argh.
I had some wine I needed to finish off. Bourbon may be later though.
Yipes Lee, that's not a good series of things to learn in one day.
thugkitchen.com is pretty awesome.
My kids drove me nuts all afternoon but have now settled into a good evening. I'll take it even though it's not really a win, more like a draw.
In mememe news, I took on my own personal onerous task day and somehow managed to schedule 2 necessary doctors' visits before the kids get out of school this Friday. Oh! but I still need to schedule Isaac's yearly check up.

I came home to two letters from Fasttrak telling me I now owe them $59 for evading tolls on two different bridges.
What a PITA. I hope the work thing doesn't impact you too badly.
IMeN: how can I be so far behind when it's only Monday? I am destressing about the impending transition and work by reminding myself that if it all goes pear-shaped I can use the time off. And if it all goes just fine I have time off in three weeks. So everything is hunky dory.
Ugh, Lee. But, FWIW, I've had multiple snags with FasTrak in the past -- everything from transponder dying to expired credit card to accidental toll evasion by way of 3-4 booths in a row failing to ping the transponder -- and they've always been shockingly fast and unproblematic about getting everything fixed. As bureaucracies go, they're clearly doing it wrong.
The main problem I have with this is that the dealership should have already taken the title out of my name and all that, and they don't seem to have.
I called the dealership and bitched them out already--they say they are going to take care of it, but I'm still going call Fasttrak tomorrow.
I also told the dealership that they have until next Wednesday (when I get home from the conference) to prove to me in writing that they have this solved and that the paperwork is done right, but if they haven't I am going on the warpath, starting with yelp and ending with the Costco auto program.
It could be they picked a bad day to fuck with me.
