Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Did they not consult you on that, Jesse? Seems like an oversight.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Just found on a spreadsheet "Current Sales Rep, Jim Crow"

Wouldn't you go by James if that were you? Or Jimmy or J.?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My job just changed our slogan, and I'm all thrown off!

But did they write a song?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Did they not consult you on that, Jesse? Seems like an oversight.

I know, right? I just saw it in the newsletter!

But did they write a song?

They should!

msbelle, seems to me anyone who named their kid Jim Crow did it on purpose.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ouch, sorry to hear that things are declining so fast, Consuela.

Yesterday my best friend told me they think his dad is on the final downward slope. They discontinued his Parkinson's meds (he's at Stage 5), and although that pretty much removes any mobility they found that it also made him more lucid, and eliminated his hallucinations and behavioral problems. He seems to have made his peace with the approaching end. I was able to reassure him that based on experience with my dad, I'd definitely choose improved mental function over treating the physical symptoms in his shoes. It's not doing you any good to have greater muscle control if you're not in your right mind and have to be restrained to avoid hurting yourself.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Wouldn't you go by James if that were you? Or Jimmy or J.?

More likely J. Middlename.

Indeed.

After talking with my brother last night, the goal is safety and happiness rather than actual improvements in her health.

Thanks everyone for the support. Yesterday was just too much. Of course, today I have a really long to-do list of calls relating to my folks, when I should really be job-hunting.

Man, I'm really sorry your worries are interfering with each other, Consuela. Bad enough to have either to deal with on its own.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Safety and happiness are good goals, Consuela. Still holding you and sending strength.

msbelle, seems to me anyone who named their kid Jim Crow did it on purpose.

sigh, yeah, like that kid whose parents named him Adolph Hitler LastName.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Consuela, I can't fathom what you have on your plate right now. I feel really deeply for you. I hope the planning can make this as tolerable as possible, and you can get back to the already fun enough job search.
