Whole Foods is a good possibility. I just have it generally on my list and never think to branch out to new stores since my grocery shopping is already so fraught. But I refuse to pay shipping when I feel like there ought to be a meatspace option.

Mostly because I think he wants roles with a really masculine, heroic edge, and also because I can't stand him so I always assume the worst. And when it comes to the author's approval, I think Lee Child is probably savvy enough to know that bad-mouthing the casting isn't going to win him any friends in the industry, where he could potentially make a lot more money.
