Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So remember that thing when CNN reported that the Supreme Court overturned Obamacare?

Why do they keep forgetting: 24-hour news cycle means you can take an bit more time, be sure you get it right the first time.

Because books.

Sometimes it seems like all the 24-hour news cycle means is that everyone wants everything RIGHT NOW.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

24-hour news cycle means you can take an bit more time, be sure you get it right the first time.

That might be what 24-hours news cycle means, but isn't it exactly what internet news cycle doesn't mean? It seems pretty rare to wait it out in preference to being first--the level of surety-to-publish has slunk lower and lower.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

True, the internet doesn't help either, although I don't think it's fair that the first thing when the pros screw up is to be all "Fricking bloggers," as if bloggers are the ones that are supposed to study ethics every semester.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks for checking in, Nilly!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Why do they keep forgetting: 24-hour news cycle means you can take an bit more time, be sure you get it right the first time.

No, no, you've got it backwards. The 24-hour news cycle means if you're not ON THE AIR BREAKING NEWS RIGHT NOW, then you LOSE. Unconfirmed rumors are better than dead air.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The Federal courthouse in Boston is currently being evacuated. No idea why.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am too through with CNN right now. They have been completely irresponsible today. Completely.

I'm watching the local news. I can actually see the evacuation happening on the video, and they're calling it a bomb threat. There are bomb sniffing dogs on the scene.

Yeah, we're watching the WBZ feed here. I can't deal with the 24-hour networks.
