Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

Because books.

I just gave Ben the last cupcake. I think I'm growing as a person.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Returned the can opener, then realized that the soup could really use more chicken broth. So I hacked at that can with a corkscrew until I could get the chicken broth out. You can see that this would not have been a viable technique with beans.

So this changed today: [link]

I immediately went out and planted the dianthus that had outgrown their pots. Which is why I just finished dinner.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Is this the worst

Yes, mostly because they are dead wrong about angel hair. It is #1 all the way.

I have strong feelings about pasta.

(I actually think that list is funny; I hope they were being smart-asses and making fun of themselves and all their damn lists when they put it together.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is this the worst

Alphabet pasta better than angel hair AND fettucine? No, fail.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Misread that as "not been a viable technique with bears."

I'm glad that you are at least fed, Dana.

And good on the padding, Sheryl.

Consuela, I'm so sorry. I hope your next employers are aware of and demonstrative about what a good job you do for them.

Yay for a good eval and a raise, Lee!

And Amy, I'd have to concur on the cupcake-giving.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sheryl, I meant to say, sorry about all the maybe not terrible but still bad stuff that hit you yesterday, some of it literally. I'm glad to hear there may be some hazard mitigation coming out of it, at least.

Yeah, that pasta list is pretty darn full of wrongness.

I keep going out to look at the yard. But it is dark! I think I might get another tie to put by the sidewalk leading to the steps.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Misread that as "not been a viable technique with bears."

Also good advice.
