Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And that it could be not an attack on America

Huh. I actually wasn't thinking that it might be, until I read your post. I was thinking domestic wingnut. Can't say why, really.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's disproportionately freaking me out that someone who sees that animated GIF on the Post page will see someone they know collapsing, maybe injured.

My mother and I were just talking trash about someone last night who ran today and isn't an elite runner, so I'm kind of scared to look too close.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Report on JFK Library incident: library director says was NOT caused by a device; it was confined to mechanical room

Well, that's good. The unexploded bomb that they already did a controlled explosion on was planted just past the finish line.

I don't know about the reports of finding two more bombs. I know they've got bomb sniffing dogs in the area, probably focused on the trash cans along the race route.

Patriot's Day?

Mostly I just don't think that way, even after 9/11. Which is naive as hell, I know. But I still assume it's domestic wingnuts.

See also Timothy McVeigh, Columbine?

Right. And the explosion at the Atlanta Olympics.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Huh.

6 years ago on Marathon Monday a gunman killed 32 people at VA Tech. I spent the day frantically calling friends. Now doing it again. Scary.

Is it the anniversary of the VA Tech shooting?

Thrive to spite them

Steph I am thinking domestic terrorism as well. But I'm sure some people are thinking it's an outside attack by Al Qaeda or something like that. So the security expert was trying to stress that 1) Homeland security hadn't picked up any international chatter about an attack and 2) we don't know that anywhere else is targeted.
