Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

When I'm hung over, nothing is better than a egg & cheese on a salt bagel.

The status is NOT quo.

Happy Birthday, Sparky! And way to pay it forward.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Salt bagel with cream cheese and tomato. Or everything bagel, especially if "everything" includes salt.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Everything bagel with regular cream cheese or veggie cream cheese. Or egg & cheese. A sesame seed bagel is fine, but no substitute for everything. A proper bagel should, at the very least, be both oniony and garlicky.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sesame from Montreal is the one true bagel. After that (well after that) are NY style bagels, where I can be more forgiving of the extras gunking them up. Salt, onion etc.

Jesse Jackson Jr. has resigned.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I do like a plain bagel with cream cheese and lox. Quite a bit.

I just survived a trip to Trader Joe's. I figured the afternoon before Thanksgiving would be crazy, and it *was* packed, but I had no trouble getting parking, and I got everything I needed, and the TJs employees were handing out samples of pecan pie and wine, so it was all good.

And now I am back at work, where I will work until 5. I can think of only 2 instances in 17 years where Big!Boss let us off early.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Well, I got movement on my job. My application "has been referred to the selecting official for consideration." No indication of how I scored.

Do I sit on this, or do I call the guy and badger him?

I think I call.

... balls. He's out. I'll have to wait until Monday.

That guy is a mess. I feel for what he's going through, but it's been handled in just about the worst possible way from the jump.

Thrive to spite them

I feel for Jesse Jackson Jr. I'm not clear if he was only recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder or if he's known he had it and been in treatment for awhile.

I don't think he should have run for re election. And I wonder if his misuse of campaign funds is tied to his bipolar disorder.
