Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Jesse Jackson Jr. has resigned.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I do like a plain bagel with cream cheese and lox. Quite a bit.

I just survived a trip to Trader Joe's. I figured the afternoon before Thanksgiving would be crazy, and it *was* packed, but I had no trouble getting parking, and I got everything I needed, and the TJs employees were handing out samples of pecan pie and wine, so it was all good.

And now I am back at work, where I will work until 5. I can think of only 2 instances in 17 years where Big!Boss let us off early.

Well, I got movement on my job. My application "has been referred to the selecting official for consideration." No indication of how I scored.

Do I sit on this, or do I call the guy and badger him?

I think I call.

... balls. He's out. I'll have to wait until Monday.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesse Jackson Jr. has resigned.

That guy is a mess. I feel for what he's going through, but it's been handled in just about the worst possible way from the jump.

Thrive to spite them

I feel for Jesse Jackson Jr. I'm not clear if he was only recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder or if he's known he had it and been in treatment for awhile.

I don't think he should have run for re election. And I wonder if his misuse of campaign funds is tied to his bipolar disorder.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yay for movement, but bah on having to wait, Consuela.

Happy Birthday, Sparky!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for movement, Consuela!

I don't have a standard bagel preference. I am one of those annoying people who has to stand there staring at the menu trying to decide what I feel like having today.

Although it's been a good while since I had any bagel that wasn't a made by me sourdough with cream cheese or butter, maybe some smoked salmon, or maybe peanut butter instead. Even eating at home I can not be consistent. I miss Bayou Bagels.

I'm just hella glad that Udi's makes a damn good (if pricey) plain gluten-free bagel.

I don't get a lot of bagels, but I do like a poppyseed bagel with cream cheese and lox.

brillig

Bagels are so high in carbs I shouldn't eat them, but if I do it's ham and cheese on onion. Yum. Cravings.
