Thrive to spite them

I feel for Jesse Jackson Jr. I'm not clear if he was only recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder or if he's known he had it and been in treatment for awhile.

I don't think he should have run for re election. And I wonder if his misuse of campaign funds is tied to his bipolar disorder.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yay for movement, but bah on having to wait, Consuela.

Happy Birthday, Sparky!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for movement, Consuela!

I don't have a standard bagel preference. I am one of those annoying people who has to stand there staring at the menu trying to decide what I feel like having today.

Although it's been a good while since I had any bagel that wasn't a made by me sourdough with cream cheese or butter, maybe some smoked salmon, or maybe peanut butter instead. Even eating at home I can not be consistent. I miss Bayou Bagels.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'm just hella glad that Udi's makes a damn good (if pricey) plain gluten-free bagel.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I don't get a lot of bagels, but I do like a poppyseed bagel with cream cheese and lox.

brillig

Bagels are so high in carbs I shouldn't eat them, but if I do it's ham and cheese on onion. Yum. Cravings.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sesame from Montreal is the one true bagel

YES. They don't need cream cheese or butter or anything--just hot right out of the oven.

Things continue to explode here--pressure on me from Directors that I'm telling people to just pretend I'm not involved, changes that need scope restrained to protect developers, other people throwing anyone within reach under buses, my key developer out for a death in the family so our project is screeching to a even bigger halt, because she hasn't documented anything.

And my migraine makes me want to vomit and cry at the same time, and I have at least one more CIO meeting before the day's out.

I have prepared the brine and am about to start baking pies. I'm doing three this year—two pumpkin and one apple.
