Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Happy Birthday Sparky!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I haven't read any of the Twilight books nor seen the movies. But just reading the movie review of the last one it seems like the wussiest narrative cop-out I've ever seen. So lame.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Happy birthday, Sparky!

Everyone's Thanksgiving prep posts are making me tired. Luckily, we're not doing much this year. M might be making a pie today, as is his wont, but otherwise all we have to do tomorrow is show up with drinks. (We're doing T-day with Gris and his lovely family, who live about a half mile from us.) And I feel extra lucky that M doesn't have to work today, since Rose's daycare apparently is closing at 3:30 today, even though I asked them LAST NIGHT if they'd be open regular hours today, and they said yes. WTF? Good thing M can swing by and pick her up, since I need to work a full day today.

I haven't read any of the Twilight books nor seen the movies.

You may want to seek out the Cleolinda recaps of the books.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah -- I've been meaning to ask someone to tell me the "shocking twist ending!!!" of the movie vs. the book.

I just have to cut up veg and make dip tonight or in the morning. Mustn't forget!

I think this is probably the most enjoyable format in which to consume the Twilight series.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Oh yeah -- I've been meaning to ask someone to tell me the "shocking twist ending!!!" of the movie vs. the book.

I was wondering that, too. Do Edward and Jacob get it on? PLEASE TELL ME THEY DO.

Which part? I read the books, and I can think of a few things that might qualify as "wussiest narrative cop-out."
