Does it seem weird to you that the landlord wants to do the walkthrough even though I haven't found a place yet?
He/she probably doesn't really care about that, since as far as they're concerned, you're leaving as of Thursday. I think landlords schedule walkthroughs before the tenant leaves fairly frequently.
Thanks Lee, now I want chocolate.
K-Bug and bf are here, using the wifi and printer. I still haven't been invited to their new place or even been given their address.
I know many of you have met K-Bug and it is probably odd for me to be so vocal here about my unhappiness. I need some place to vent.
even been given their address
What now? Come on, K-Bug, you know better than that.
Have you asked for their new address?
I have been forcing myself to make phone calls today, because there are always some that need to be made, and on this last one I got as far as a machine voice telling me that if I want to continue in English, to say "English". Which I did, thinking that I really prefer it when I have the option of pushing a button over saying something, and the machine goes on with "Bonjour!" and continues in French. So that's it for me making phone calls today.
Yup! It would be for me too!

YES. But I have found that if you treat the options like the first is #1, and the second #2, etc, so far hitting the numbers has worked instead. Or, you know, hammering zero until the computer gets fucked up.
javachik, no I haven't and that is on me.
I'm just so disppointed that this is the guy she has chosen and I'm fearful that he will propose. They were here all of 30 minutes and he wanted to raid my fridge. Sure on the string cheese, but back off of the stuff in the freezer.
I do try to look for the good stuff. He finally has his own tow truck and is on the on-call schedule. But he has K-Bug go with him on any evening calls so she can handle his paperwork.
At least she is still submitting her school application for the PT program at Arapahoe Community College. And she got a 4% raise at her PT Aide job.
On those voice phone things, I just go with saying operator cause if I'm going to have to say stuff, I'd rather talk to a person than a machine. Especially when the machine makes you confirm that it heard what you said each and every time.

I do this too. If I wanted an automated system, I'd be using the internet. Phone means I want to talk to a person.
