I think the DMV may be the Platonic ideal of "Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence," though.

You're probably right, but there's so much red tape involved, I can't imagine someone wasn't asking Crowley to pitch in.
Oh my god husband wants to plan to drive a giant U-haul to Texas. I won't make it there alive.
He can drive. You can go spend a week in sunny Miami drinking foofy drinks, then meet him there after he has unpacked.

True. And second the "thank god not discovered while driving" but damn. And I'm surprised it isn't more expensive--I feel like that's the sort of thing where they'd pile on late fees and failure to appear fees or something.
I think my bank might only keep checks available online for viewing for 18 months, older than that you have to request.
Between the move, changing banks, reshuffling everything with the bed bugs, if I have any documentation I wouldn't know where to look. $93 is worth not hassling with that part of all this. Had it been a lot higher...maybe I'd be willing to deal.
Sigh.
Ok, back to battling MS Project.
Not only did I get my home phone working again (which involved a lot of crawling around behind furniture and carefully plugging/unplugging stuff) but I called my contract recruiter (the one who got me the last job) and he's now officially back on my case. So it begins....
Good luck, Theo!
