Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Pot roast (or anything out of a crock pot and thus delicious) freezes pretty well. It's not perfect but it's good.

I did count. I figured I could handle 100 plucks. But when she got to 70 some on one side, I thought, oh shit. The brows look GREAT though.

That's where they get you. They do an amazing job and then you go back. I'm glad I tint my own or I'd be even more indebted. Maybe I'll count next time. It'll be a meditation on not just getting up and running screaming.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

So no one but me does the thing where you just eat leftovers each meal until they're gone rather than freezing them? Admittedly I rarely cook more than 4 servings of anything at a time...

Everything I've attempted to do today has ended in failure except getting a haircut, and even for that I had to waste a full hour waiting beforehand. Why is it that when you have only one day off, it goes by like a flash of lightning?

I just slipped/bounced down at least 4 stairs, sober. Caught myself, but oy. I can do this drunk off my ass with no pratfalls, what went wrong?!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I just eat leftovers, but sometimes I freeze them.

I'm slowly learning to freeze leftovers As opposed to eat them until gone.

It's a process.

So I have successfully convinced the SO that buying me a new crockpot so I can use the old one to warm hide glue was a good use of resources.

Hmmmmm. You're more persuasive than I am. I had to buy my own. Which is now (perfectly reasonably) covered in hide gloop and sawdust and such....

For hide glue, think water bath. Don't let it get over 145 F if you can help it.

Do you know where I can buy conductive epoxy?

Mouser Electronics. They're easy to deal with.....

And here's the preamp.. It's easy....

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This is what I'm looking at doing. The crockpot will hold the water and the inverted, cut lid will support the hide glue in a canning jar. I think I can do it so it's suspended, but if not, I'll use a towel on the bottom like he did.

They're easy to deal with.....

Okay, great, thanks.

Ok, for the preamp, is this the one we were talking about with a film piezo and the basslines pickup? Those pickups would be where the two piezos are in that diagram? I think the circuit board stuff might be over my head right now, but I'm game to try.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I'm rather astonished at how little histrionics I'm seeing on facebook over Downton Abbey. Didn't the season finale finish like 30 minutes ago (on the west coast)? Was everyone already spoiled or still sitting on their sofas processing?

That pre essentially is separate, and blended prior to the jack (blend pot) and a filter or two....

The glue pot is ingenious!

The circuit board stuff actually isn't difficult, but it requires attention to detail, and it works great.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

erin,

there were a LOT of people who were spoiled, so that might be it. People completely lost it in my twitter timeline. They were PISSED.
