My onerous task of the day is to get a bid from the movers for my folks' move. And probably make them dinner.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

"sometimes people who are better at the job or perceived by the audience to be better at the job are going to get it."

Isn't this just a really shitty way of saying "Hollywood isn't racist, everyone is racist!"?

perceived by the audience to be better at the job are going to get it.

Well, sure, if by "minority casting issues" you don't actually mean RACISM. Duh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's pretty much "They're racist, and I'm okay with that."

THEN WHY ARE WE TALKING??

You don't get to say you're not racist after that. I'm ignoring you.

Consuela - I'm so glad you are at the point of hiring movers. Huge steps.

I did up my FSA. So I'm all oneroused out. Though from a health stand point I'm finally feeling human again. But exhausted. Nap time?

Hmm, I need to get social this weekend or I'll have to spend it all with my folks, and that will burn me out. Maybe I can go see Lincoln...

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

You don't get to say you're not racist after that.

Ehn, how about he does get to say it, in return for which everyone else gets to point and laugh and mock him mercilessly?

Sigh. 3/4 of today's eBay listings didn't sell. Although one of the unsold did generate what is so far my second-favorite communication from an eBayer, inquiring of the collectible miniature boot sculpture listed under "Collectibles-Miniature Shoes-Willits Collectables" (and with a link to the eBay buyer's guide to the history of this particular sculptor and her work) what size they are and whether they're really snakeskin?

(My absolute favorite was the zero-transactions-listed newbie who backed out of a Harry Potter auction win after I declined to throw in free shipping, and added a snarky note that I could probably get more money for it next time if I bothered to mention that it was a figure from the very first movie -- I suppose instead of, like the chump I was, merely stating in both the title and description that it was a 2001 figure from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

movers

That is seriously exciting.

mac has a soccer game tonight, which I am not excited about. I have no idea what I will get for dinner since he will have already eaten by the time I get home so fast food for me only would cause a giant fight, also I do not need fast food. Maybe I have something frozen I can heat up.

Tomorrow is 2 more soccer games - also unexcited. perhaps I will do some knitting.

I have tasked today, nothing really onerous, but just little work stuff all day. My desk is going to be almost all cleaned off when I leave.

brillig

Onerous task of the day: go to doctor, get flu and whooping cough shot. Ache all day.

Newly discovered onerous task of the future: Reverse has gone out on my car. Fortunately I was parked on a pull-through spot, I just had to wait until the person ahead of me left. Minimum fix if it's simple, $350.
