The toddlers don't even get a dorm room! Or a free gym! Or free bus passes to get to the downtown bars! How can daycare cost that much?
I demand free bus passes for toddlers! No, wait...
On the one hand, I agree that childcare *should* be highly valued because it's incredibly important. On the other hand, I can't afford it, so I wish it were cheaper.

Yeah, I feel the same way, on both counts. And we even found a decently priced daycare, so I know we don't have it as bad as lots of other people. But it's still crazy expensive.
Steph! YAY! Congratulations! I love the ring. Is there a story behind it?
And a huge YAY for Jesse too!
I just went and scheduled a payment to my card. y'all are a good influence.
t Not really here
t OK, just a bit
So, as I was afraid yesterday, we did have no internet for the whole day, and just managed to get the connection back a few minutes ago. So I turn on the computer in order to work (e-mail exam grades), and just take a very quick look at the rest of the world, to make sure it's still there and the same as it had been when it disappeared on my last night, and then I find out that no, wonderful news just happened!
Teppy, I'm so happy for you! Well, in a sense, even more for Tim, though I only know him from your stories, because he gets to be *your* husband, but there's no contradiction there, I can be happy for your both, and I so so very much am!
Hmm, this post needs more exclamation points.
And cereal [Edit: who am I kidding, chocolate and a cookie, in order to convince myself to get back to grading, and make this post, too, all meMeME] because it deserves its own post: happy birthday, connie! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderfu year!
This just in: self-evals are annoying.
Holy. Crap.
In fairness, my university, like Hil's, is an astounding bargain for in-state students. A motivated student at any of these midwestern behemoths can get a world-class education for the price of, well, for the price of eight years of decent daycare. Not bad.
Disclaimer: unmotivated students can get a degree at one of these schools without learning anything. They need the added attention that a smaller, more expensive school can provide.
Just answer everything 'Awesome' except for areas to improve on and put 'Being even more awesome'.
