Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I did Philly for B'more>Philly> Madrid, and had to take a bus from the plane (puddle jumper) to terminal, and a train and a brisk walk, and we were kind of delayed, but I made it just in time- but I was hauling ass. I'm pretty sure I didn't have a 3 hour layover because I recall several of my other coworkers boggling at how close me and a couple others were cutting it. I don't recall doing any customs, but I was a domestic passenger from the get-go.
Can't speak to the amenities of PHL, it was a pretty quick run-thru.
eta: Looks like you'll need to take a bus shuttle to terminal F from either A or C terminal. I must've come into a different terminal, cause I remember a train. Or maybe I'm delusional.
Thanks sara! There does look like a little set of train tracks on the map. [link]
My tentative plan is to bust a move right off the plane and if I have time at the other end, great.

I go back eight years or so now, but at the time I was distinctly unimpressed with PHL's amenities. I wasn't so much concerned with getting around inside the airport as with travel to and from, but I believe they operate shuttle buses between Terminals A and F. With a layover of over two hours, that should see you right.
Good to know, Billytea, thanks.
Buffistas really do know everything.

I think that's actually the SEPTA line into the city, IIRC.
Have a great trip, Sue! I knew you were planning this but I didn't realize we had gotten to Actually Going Time. Whee!
Sue, Philly's pretty manageable -- I would still say change terminals once your flight lands, just to be safe, but with the shuttle bus it shouldn't be hard or take too long.
There aren't a lot of things to do and/or eat in that airport, but the basics are there. And as far as I recall, bt is right -- that's the SEPTA train line, not a terminal connection. Look for the shuttle bus.
And have fun! Ireland! Bring back pictures!
So I have no idea where my train memory comes from. Certainly not Madrid- that was a fuckton of walking and stairs (sooo not disability friendly, but I found that true of Spain in general, both in 1996 and now.)
I'm at the healing point in my crowns I should think of flossing them. I'm askeered to.
Having had a couple crowns done, my advice is to floss very very gently the first time -- just pull down as far as it lets you without stress. If they seem to be sticking on the way up, pull the floss through.
It probably won't, though. The crowns may actually be smoother than the original teeth.
Yeah, I know. These are the mirror of the other two I got this past fall, though there is less scabbing. But it is there, and last time, once it felt like there was something stuck between my teeth, it was time to deal with it.
