I don't know if you recall my FUCK CANCER from last week when I found out a co-worker had been diagnosed with Lymphoma...but now it is a FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, STOOOOPID FUCKING CANCER as she passed away yesterday. Three weeks in the hospital, chemo, heart issues, horrible blood counts, and her body just gave out.
I'm in the office today and there are people crying at their desks. She was such a bright light. Always a positive attitude, happy to help anyone, she had a confidence and air of strength about her to be envied. Loretta, you will be missed but you will always have a special place in my heart.
Shit, Suzi, that's just awful. I'm so sorry.
Oh god, Suzi. I'm so sorry.
Jesus, Suzi, that's awful!
I'm so sorry.
We lost a coworker to cancer last August, but at least we'd had more than a couple of weeks to adjust to her illness, and it was clear she wasn't doing that well.
Meanwhile, the owner of the company wants all the office spaces to match attractively, so we have giant stacks of new IKEA stuff to put together, but we were apparently denied a printer under $100.
Because why would the editorial department need a printer? @@
Oh no, Suzi. It's terrible when it's that sudden.
Aw Suzi that's so sad. I'm sorry.
