Because frankly, if the situation justifies using lethal force to start with, it doesn't seem to me that it matters much if "eunuch" is an intermediary step on the way to corpsedom for the attacker.

And they don't understand my terse "Don't attack me then." Because there's a code. And there's an order. And there's something beyond fearing for my life, and groin shots are not appropriate if I'm only trying to save my life or avoid being raped. They have to be saved for something more important.

Yeah, just today the Master Sensei was talking about how a knee/punch/kick to the groin is perfectly appropriate on the street. He was talking about it in conjunction to being choked and making the attacker let go. But really, applies to any attack.

Thanks for all the well wishes. The temps stayed reasonable while we were working outside. My shoulder held up fine, but I did about 150 crunches instead of push-ups over the course of the 4 hour test. I came home, showered, cleaned up the apartment a bit, and am now catching up with my invisible friends. Real world violence, they're talking about. That it might include many things, but just like you wouldn't immediately defend your life with a gun (oh?) a nut shot is even more extreme than that.

First off, nut shots are allowed in class because they're allowed in the world. So, you both learn how to defend against them, as well as perform your own.

If you don't want to fuss with nut shots during training, take karate. Once you've signed up for krav, it's too late. What the sensible people say is "You wear your cup just to walk in the door."

And so it is.

I do get the bit where I tailor our strikes to the cup to make it hurt more is being mean. I get that. But it's also fun. Kelly cracked at least two cups with her strikes. What I preferred to do was to knock it off center, and then strike it straight on again. If it's not fitting right, that pinches.
