We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Strix met D on OK Cupid. Kate P met her husband there, too. It lets you learn something about a larger number and variety of people than just about anything else I can think of. Numbers game, there's going to be some wackos on the bell curve.

Plus, hilarious stories!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Burrell, the CDC says for sure it's not the zombie apocalypse.

....just like they do in any zombie horror movie!

Our wings are not tired.

Imagine his equivalent in a bar, or a krav class, or at a friend's party...

This is a so very true. There are plenty of success stories. My friend that has had the worst experiences has equally bad luck with those she selects at the bar or party. We have discussed the whole 'same criteria same results' issue.

I'd feel better about it if Buffy said it wasn't the zombie apocalypse.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am so angry right now about the murder of the New Orleans paper, the Times Picayune. An announcement was made about 2 weeks ago that they are shifting to a digital focus, cutting the print edition from 7 to 3 days a week, and cutting their employees by a third.

The firings are coming out today. The news bureau has been cut by half. People focused on crime and education have been laid off. Brett Anderson, a James Beard award winner food writer, has been laid off.

I am so incredibly enraged by this- it's just the epitome of outsiders coming in, knowing NOTHING about how New Orleans works, and stripping an institution down and selling the parts for scrap. Not for nothing, New Orleans has one of the largest urban digital divides, and one of the highest print circulations, in the country.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I couldn't get on the computer for fun yesterday -- so I have to bring up yesterdays conversation .

but first - go Lief !

Eating

Now I am on insulin. It works better than any thing has in years ( including training to walk 60 Miles ) . But as part of this I've reupped my personal studies on nutrition . I read fork over knives , looked at the paleo diet and I am reading "Minding My mitocondria" by Dr. Terry Wahls.

Conclusions: different diets work better for different people. However, there are some things they all have in common:

1) Mostly plants starting with non - starchy veggies a variety of plants will get you a variety micro nutrients

Limited overly processed foods and added sugar and preservatives

meat /grains / dairy is where they all start differing and it seems that different people react differently to these foods

I'm still figuring out what works best for me. I suspect that most of us can afford to be flexible.

I'm sorry to hear tha t, nora. Most of the newspapers around here have dropped in quality -- I spent part of yesterday talking with a friend and designing what a fantasy local paper would look like.

taking food out a NO newspaper is not one of them ( the news pars are obvious I hope )

Our wings are not tired.

That is sad to hear, Nora. The Times Picayune has an excellent reputation.
