I think she has pretty much got Wonder Woman down *pat*. I still can't get over her being that sort of fannish. But that's just my prejudices speaking.
Okay, Burrell I drive past Scoops on my way home from work most times. But, damn, both those websites are pretty...special.
Jesus Christ--Charlize Theron is sitting next to Jon Hamm...it's too much. I quit. Life. Done.
There tends to be two kinds of hardcore cosplayers, IME.
This has been my experience. Most of my friends who cosplay have 2-3 costumes for a convention. They have favorites that they tinker with, and also like the challenge of coming up with new designs every year.
But, damn, both those websites are pretty...special.
Yeah, Cool Haus hurts my eyes.
You all need to check out 21 Choices. You would never know it's frozen yogurt; it is SO good. We have one here in Pasadena, but I think there's one closer to you guys also.
Ok, I totally want to try ice creams with you next time I'm in town, burrell! Which would be not next week but the week after. Or the week after that, around the f2f
Aw, all the LAistas. More people move to Philly! We need more Phillistas!
R made the (much improved due to time and available ingredients) alfredo she used to make us in Prague on 2 hotplates with some sickly looking vegs we'd scour the KMaj and Julius Meinels (and the once produce place Fruit de France which was always random.) This time: local portabellos, zucchinis and asparagus, real parma, spinach fettucini and we have much better taste in wine these days! 16 years, wow.
Good day. There is no explanation as to why I am still upright. We marketed, went to the Y (where N passed the swim test beautifully and got to swim in the deep end!) and had a bit of Honfest. Which was mostly just sitting in the shade and feeding N and listening to my neighbor's Best-Boyfriend-Ever's band play. Which N ranked the second most awesome adventure of the trip so far, right after the flight itself. Not bad on maybe 4 hours normal sleep for each of us.
Tomorrow, American Girl store for N to spend some much saved money on a new doll, accessories and hairdo for her existing one, followed by "tea" (really just lunch) at their restaurant. I suppose I will have to wear a proper dress for N.... And then we will Y. R is about as determined as I to get her Y time. N goes to childwatch or reads on the kindle while she's on the tread, and then they come to the pool for the last half hour of my swim, and then N and I goofed around and raced in the lap lanes. Heh.
Also, FT(hilarious)R: N has officially exhausted not only Loki, but Pumpkin too. She's a lot like my neighbor's daughter G, with a strong streak of
Love them and hug them and call them George
Elmira. I had to tell N to leave Pumpkin alone in my NannyVoice, and she confessed indignantly to her mom later that "I don't want to hurt Aunt Sara's feelings but she's just like YOU!"
Pumpkin is a little more wary about N, but no moreso than Loki was initially (G initiated him.)
We'll have to keep on that. OTOH, when N was reading her kindle tonight next to her mom on the futon, Devi (the infamous invisible-hidey-hates-strangers-bitey-when-she-likes-them cat) hopped up between them and took a nap. She's just given up and maybe figures her rep precedes her?
I know Dev has gotten more tolerant of the people, but that was rather shocking. N did know her rep, though, so gave her a wide berth.
