Just got back from seeing the touring company of Mamma Mia!. It was a fun show, and Chloe Tucker was a better Sophie than Amanda Seyfried was in the movie. (Though unfortunately Christian Whelan didn't sing any better than Pierce Brosnan, and also looked and acted like an angry Ed Begley Jr.—which made it very difficult to root for his character to reconcile with Donna...)
I took advantage of being on Atkins to eat a guilt-free rack of ribs with no veggies at the Rendezvous afterward. Still the best BBQ ribs in the world!
Timelies all!
Got all my errands done yesterday, minus watching my Netflix disk. Turns out the disk had a long crack/scratch on it, so it wouldn't play. Notified Netflix, and will send it back. Ah, first world problems...
a strong streak of Love them and hug them and call them George Elmira.
ah ha ha! That is exactly how Franny is with our cat Folly! She carries Folly around the house snuggling her to within an inch of her life.
That video of the toddler in the petting zoo hugging the goats was so funny, because you can just imagine how much time his parents have spent training him to be gentle with dogs!
OMG, the dryer still doesn't work! Despite what a neighbor told me last week. Next week, seriously remind me to go to the laundromat.
I got up to watch tennis, and there's a rain delay. What the hell, France.
~ma for your cousin, Matt. Hope she recovers quickly.
Nice use of posting makes it happen, Dana! Also, thanks for reminding me I wanted to watch tennis today.
My plan for today is sewing curtains. They didn't have quite enough of the fabric I wanted, and the pattern has been discontinued, and this pattern was just so totally perfect that I didn't want to find something else, so I bought what they had of it, and I think that I can make this work if I'm really careful with cutting and really stingy with the hems. And if I need to, I can get some kind of coordinating fabric to make a few inches of trim at the bottom.
