You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

Also, FT(hilarious)R: N has officially exhausted not only Loki, but Pumpkin too. She's a lot like my neighbor's daughter G, with a strong streak of Love them and hug them and call them George Elmira. I had to tell N to leave Pumpkin alone in my NannyVoice, and she confessed indignantly to her mom later that "I don't want to hurt Aunt Sara's feelings but she's just like YOU!"

Pumpkin is a little more wary about N, but no moreso than Loki was initially (G initiated him.)

We'll have to keep on that. OTOH, when N was reading her kindle tonight next to her mom on the futon, Devi (the infamous invisible-hidey-hates-strangers-bitey-when-she-likes-them cat) hopped up between them and took a nap. She's just given up and maybe figures her rep precedes her?

I know Dev has gotten more tolerant of the people, but that was rather shocking. N did know her rep, though, so gave her a wide berth.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Just got back from seeing the touring company of Mamma Mia!. It was a fun show, and Chloe Tucker was a better Sophie than Amanda Seyfried was in the movie. (Though unfortunately Christian Whelan didn't sing any better than Pierce Brosnan, and also looked and acted like an angry Ed Begley Jr.—which made it very difficult to root for his character to reconcile with Donna...)

I took advantage of being on Atkins to eat a guilt-free rack of ribs with no veggies at the Rendezvous afterward. Still the best BBQ ribs in the world!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Got all my errands done yesterday, minus watching my Netflix disk. Turns out the disk had a long crack/scratch on it, so it wouldn't play. Notified Netflix, and will send it back. Ah, first world problems...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

a strong streak of Love them and hug them and call them George Elmira.

ah ha ha! That is exactly how Franny is with our cat Folly! She carries Folly around the house snuggling her to within an inch of her life.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That video of the toddler in the petting zoo hugging the goats was so funny, because you can just imagine how much time his parents have spent training him to be gentle with dogs!

OMG, the dryer still doesn't work! Despite what a neighbor told me last week. Next week, seriously remind me to go to the laundromat.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I got up to watch tennis, and there's a rain delay. What the hell, France.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice use of posting makes it happen, Dana! Also, thanks for reminding me I wanted to watch tennis today.
