But really, today I just want to marry Jay Smooth. Can we make that happen at all?
He's SO AWESOME. I love Jay Smooth. And I love the way his cat appears & disappears during his videos!

Wow, that is awesome. I wan't paying much attention to the beginning, and while he was singing, I was like- he is a little flat. Then I realized he never had lessons or anything!
Also, Hamlet makes me want a mini-pig in the worst way! I love how he DIVES into the oatmeal.
Why did the loud chewer over the cube wall from me get replaced by another loud chewer? If I can't see you eat, I should not know so many details of your consumption.
I swear someone just mentioned that story/concept around/to me within the last couple weeks.
ita, I want to say there was something about it on Andrew Sullivan's blog recently. I believe it was discussion of a native American belief that you die a second time when the last person that knew you dies.
I don't think I've been to his blog. It's not ringing any bells.
Question about terms: "last stand"--does it have to be fatal? Can you win a last stand? Can you potentially stand again?
"last stand" is someone's fight to death. if it isn't yours, it is your opponent's.
traditionally.
more colloquially it can refer to someone's last attempt at something, before the person decides to leave.

Generally, I'd say you die at the end of your last stand. (This is for the io9 thing, right? So "last stand" would refer to fighting.)
So I'd say you can't win at a last stand. But I suppose it's possible to be defeated in your last stand and (somehow) be unable to fight again yet still alive.
This is for the io9 thing, right?
The number of last stands commenters are suggesting that were lived through is huge. Just because you didn't read the Angel comics doesn't mean they didn't happen.
And thinking you're going to die isn't quite enough, IMO.
