I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay Griffith Observatory! We just opened a new show in the planetarium up there.

Oo, which show? I'd love to take the kids and tell them I know one of the people who put it together.

Our wings are not tired

I've worked on all of the shows in the Planetarium. The latest one is called Time's Up.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Yay Griffith Observatory! We just opened a new show in the planetarium up there.

Nice! I shall check it out.

Groovy, ND.

Warning: possible time suck!

Definite time suck.

We are making actual progress on home repairs today. Yay!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dag, our CIO just smacked down a pesky wanna-be vendor and I lucked in on being in the distribution list. She does not mess around. The company is casting a pretty wide net, and keeps poking at us every couple weeks to say "You gonna buy? Buy now? Huh?" and on yesterday's attempt, included the CIO. Her reply is reasonably long, perhaps more than they've earned, but she does actually tell them a) this is annoying b) you don't want her annoyed.

I love the language "please don't feel ... you need to escalate to me".

Thanks for the legwork on that quote. Would that half the people who put it up did that much due diligence.

-t, I swear someone just mentioned that story/concept around/to me within the last couple weeks.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Now I want to track that story down. I think I heard about it as an excerpt on the radio a couple of years ago, can't remember the title or author or character's names...a challenge.

Way to stick to your guns, msbelle!

I agree msbelle, kids should be able to entertain themselves, although I'm lucky to have built-in playmates at my house.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just read the chapter of Eagleman's work with that quote and he describes the resulting principle that at the time when you die your third death, you probably don't want to leave right then, because someone who remembered you is just about to show up.

And he also describes miserable people who are remembered for reasons they don't value, and who are desperate to move on.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, in reading about Miley Cyrus and the littler Hemsworth getting engaged, I learned that the bigger Hems is married to a 35 year old! Which...gives me hope?

But really, today I just want to marry Jay Smooth. Can we make that happen at all?
