"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"Is it raining? I hadn't noticed." /andiebot

Ruined the fucking movie for me. Just ruined. The movie was going along great until that bullshit.

I LAUGHED in the theater when that line was uttered.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

"Is it raining? I hadn't noticed." /andiebot

"You -- What, how? I mean, you're drenched."
"I... It's embarrassing."
"More embarrassing than not noticing the street is near flooded?"
"Look, don't laugh. I... have a perspiration problem. When I get flustered. I sweat. A lot."
"Yes, but it's really raining quite heavily, and you're soaked, so--"
"A lot. Dehydration is a real issue."
"...Ok, so you should, um -- You should probably get that checked. But did you not notice that I'm also drenched?"
"I thought you'd changed your hairstyle."
"...I think we should just be friends."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I really like Andie in Sex, Lies and Videotape and Groundhog Day (where her job was to be charmed by Bill Murray. Which admittedly can't be too hard since every woman I've ever seen play against Bill Murray looks a little giddy with charm. See also, Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters and Olivia Williams in Rushmore.)

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yerp. Now, there should totally be a link between massive bottle of champagne and having a mad crazy loop of henle.

"Loop of henle" does not come up often enough in conversation.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

sex, lies, and videotape was decent. Groundhog Day can do no wrong. But I think I can quote that entire movie. And I'm not a movie quoter. I thought she was okay in both, but I didn't say "damn, she was great in that movie."

I actually didn't hate her in Four Weddings until the end of the film. I actually think Julia Roberts would have been better. Laugh and all.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"Is it raining? I hadn't noticed."

Now, if only she Siri to answer that question for her...

Your brain is probably just protecting you from the memory of this

Did you actually watch this, or is it just someone else's shame that you hear talk of in the dark?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Oh, the minute or so of it I saw in previews was quite enough for one lifetime.

Okay, good, because I was going to pass around the hat to raise funds for your legal defense.

I'm puzzling over a piece of spam I got, because I can't work out the point. At least in my email client, it's one of those nonsense to and from addresses, and the only text visible is "when you coming back? I thought we were going to catch a movie."

Okay? I can't work out how you get from there to swindling me out of my life savings...

If you were to reply, you would start getting ridiculous amounts of spam.

But they're not masquerading as anyone I'd answer. That's why I don't understand it. It's a gibberish email address and an uncommon name.

I don't get what I do on my turn.

I mean, why not say your name is Michael and use a better return address?
