What are people doing this weekend?
Hockey! Blackhawks are playing Phoenix, and as apparently the only way I'm going to get to see them (blackout) is to go, I'm going to the Valley! Solo, because of the cost. And it should be interesting, because that crazy storm that struck the Bay Bridge will probably be making snow in my mountains at the time. But we shall see.
So that means today is Day of Getting Shit Done, which I started off badly by oversleeping. But still, hockey!
Tonight, party; Saturday, cartoons; Sunday, Brooklyn Zine Fest. Also, maybe I'll start applying for jobs.
I never should have come to work today, as I have just finished a show. I usually take the Friday off, but my boss also wanted today off. I am starting to nod off here!
Today, mani/pedi with a friend. This weekend, writing writing writing, and prep for the first day of my new job on Monday!
Oh, crap, right, I also need to change my polish to Blackhawks Red.
I'm going to be obnoxious fan with the pretty good seats while everyone else is wearing their WhiteOut t shirts who is Very Obviously wearing the opposing team's colors.
I've taken care of two necessary work tasks! Plus I tutored at my son's school. I think if I'm with msbelle today, I'm totes behind the 8-ball when it comes to rewards, so I'm going to lunch.
I still have not done a damn thing, but I had Thai food for lunch. WHOOT!
Two things I meant to address from way earlier in this thread: Go tankless, Burrell, for sure! I and my mom both got talked out of them during our build, and we both regret it.
Allyson: get down with your bad self on the F chord! F is hard. And as your fb person notes, so are the B variants. But if you can get that one down, you are well on your way!
What are people doing this weekend?
Napping, writing thank-you cards, getting caught up on email, going for walks, and generally trying to avoid going stir-crazy. Maybe going out to a movie? I thought there was something out I wanted to see, but searching through local listings, nothing is standing out to me. (I'm intrigued by
Cabin in the Woods,
but horror is *so* not my thing.)
Okay, msbelle, we have to get after it. I'll do one thing if you'll do one thing.
