Because books.

I think, um, the boobs would help, too.

Appropos of ... calling my insurance provider for an explanation of benefits, man do I miss HMOs.

If you had an 8 am doctors appointment, would you be able to give a urine sample if they hadn't warned you not to pee beforehand?

Yes! And again at 8:30 if necessary. When I had a million doc appts when I was pregnant I got pretty good at peeing on command. It was terrible.

Jesse, looks like the bust won't fit me. Meara and erin, all yours!

Jeebezus! It's not like I'm Christina Hendricks shaped. This is ridiculous. I don't know what I want more, boob reduction or botox.

Kat, I figure better the bust than me, where the bust would fit but my waist is too big!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's likely that the bust is bigger than 38" -- I couldn't figure out a good way to measure the shaping -- but the waist is pretty accurate, I think.

Well, and if you were down the street, I'd swing by and try it on--it might fit. But likely enough it wouldn't. (Though apropos of nothing, I must say, apparently Calvin Klein dresses are pretty darn close to my ideal fit. Maybe an inch bigger in the hips would be better, and a smidge smaller in the bust, but...)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Cows crash party, help themselves to beer

Ha. We had a little rural bovine adventure the other day ourselves. There was a big (okay, for us, maybe six cars) traffic jam, and when we could see, we realized it was because there were three cowboys on horses with their dogs trying to round up cattle and move them across the highway. Most of them went fine, but there was one recalcitrant calf who clearly hadn't done this before and was not very happy about it. It was super cute. We were all "Don't see that every day...unless you're us," about it.

That's been my experience, too: I have three CK dresses, and they fit me very well.
